Whitening Appointment Steps

What to expect during your visit
  • Step 1

    Prep

When you arrive at our studio, you'll meet your teeth whitening specialist and complete a short whitening intake form. From there, we open your whitening kit and guide you through a pre-brush using our exfoliating toothpaste, followed by a rinse with our xylitol based mouthwash. This freshens your smile and prepares your enamel for the cosmetic treatment.
  • Step 2

    Chairside

Your whitening specialist will place a comfortable oral retractor to gently move your lips and cheeks out of the way. We begin by recording your current tooth shade using our advanced digital shade checker. Next, we isolate your gum tissue and apply our hybrid advanced whitening gel, professionally formulated and made in Canada. You will receive 2 to 3 contact rounds of whitening gel depending on your stain level and desired brightness.
  • Step 3

    Post

After your final 12 minute round, your specialist will remove all whitening materials and allow you to rinse. We then apply our post whitening serum to rehydrate your enamel and add moisture back to the lips and smile line. Your final digital shade is recorded and your aftercare steps are reviewed. You will leave with your extension whitening products inside the same whitening kit that held your prep items.

FAQS

Do I need to prepare before my whitening appointment?

There is nothing you need to do specifically before your appointment. For the best results, we recommend having your teeth professionally cleaned by your dental team within two weeks prior to your whitening session. A fresh cleaning removes plaque and buildup, allowing the whitening gel to make full contact with the enamel for an even, brighter result.

What do I need to avoid after my appointment?

For the first hour, only drink water to protect your fresh results. For the next 24 hours, try your best to avoid anything that would stain a white T shirt such as coffee, tea, red wine, dark sauces, berries, or coloured drinks.

If avoiding these items is not possible, rinse with water immediately after consuming anything that could stain. This helps minimize shade rebound and keeps your results bright.

How long is my teeth whitening appointment?

Most teeth whitening appointments are 45 to 60 minutes from start to finish. Please plan your schedule accordingly so you are not rushed arriving or leaving your session.

Are results guaranteed?

Unfortunately, no. Due to tooth genetics and individual stain habits, whitening results cannot be guaranteed. Tooth bleaching is not like hair bleaching. We cannot predetermine your exact final shade or guarantee how light your teeth will go.

Professional whitening removes accumulated stain and brings your enamel back toward its natural baseline shade. Some clients may never achieve or maintain a B1 shade, and that is completely normal based on enamel thickness, dentin colour, and lifestyle factors.

Your whitening specialist will always discuss your likely outcome and help you set realistic expectations before beginning the cosmetic treatment.
